Mananatili ang Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) sa Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) kahit tapos na ang halalan, habang naghahanda ang mga otoridad sa posibleng security challenges sa counting, proclamation at post-election period.
Ayon kay AFP Spokesperson Col. Francel Margareth Padilla, patuloy ang koordinasyon ng militar sa Commission on Elections (COMELEC), Philippine National Police (PNP) at iba pang ahensiya para mapanatili ang kapayapaan at seguridad sa mga komunidad.
“Our responsibility does not end when the polls close. We were there before the elections to help prepare and secure the environment. We were there during the elections to support the COMELEC, the PNP, and other concerned authorities para ma-ensure natin itong safety ng ating mga botante and the peaceful conduct of the polls. We will remain to be there after the elections,” pahayag ni Padilla.
Nanatili umano ang mga unit ng 1st, 4th, 6th at 10th Infantry Divisions sa lugar at handa silang rumesponde sa mga validated security requirements, maging sa iba’t ibang posibleng security contingencies.
Habang tumanggi naman ang AFP na maghinala kung magkakaroon ng gulo sakaling hindi tanggapin ng ilang talunang kandidato o kanilang supporter ang resulta ng halalan.

Layunin ng AFP na protektahan ang mga botante, pigilan ang election-related violence at tumulong sa mapayapa at credible na electoral process.
Mino-monitor din ang pagkakalat ng fake news at posibleng foreign interference and malign influence, maging ang impluwensiya ng sinumang dayuhan kaugnay ng BARMM elections.
